What to wear for a winter maternity photo session { Nashville Maternity Photographers }
Maternity Photos Nashville
Middle Tennessee weather is tricky at best, but it’s pretty much a given that it won’t snow here come winter. If we’re lucky, we might get one or two snows where the ground turns white. One of those great, beautiful, rarw snowstorms came this past winter when my client Daryl was expecting her first baby.
Snowy maternity photos
The morning the snow started falling, Daryl texted me saying how much she loved the snow and how she would love to have her maternity photos in the snow. And I agreed! Within a few hours, we were bundled up, ready to take her maternity pictures.
What to wear for maternity photos?
It was short notice for Daryl, so she didn’t have much time to plan her outfits. However, Daryl has great style and already had a super cute red striped dress in her wardrobe. The dress even had adorable elbow patches on it … and pockets! Who doesn’t love a dress with pockets?! She paired that dress with brown leggings and matching boots. To accessorize, Daryl added a thin belt that helped showcase her growing belly as well as a chunky scarf to help keep warm. The result was a beautiful, pop of red in the middle of a white field.
Keeping warm
Daryl brought a coat along with her, but when it was time to take pictures, she slipped it off in order for her cute baby bump to show. This meant it got cold fast! To keep warm, Daryl brought along some hand warmers with her that she kept in her coat pocket to help her fingers warm up faster.
